HMO Conversion And Extension

Architecture 1B was appointed by a local developer Bootland Property Ltd, to obtain a full planning application to convert and significantly extend an existing large 4 bed end of terrace house into a high quality, spacious 6 room House of Multiple Occupation (HMO) and separate self-contained flat, aimed at hospital workers, given the proximity to Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield. The proposal includes the conversion of the loft and basement, and a two and a half story extension to the rear to facilitate additional rooms, but the existing dwellings awkward trapezoidal shape with the rear elevation being significantly wider than the front resulted in a unique asymmetrical design extension.
