Bespoke House, Wentworth Terrace, Wakefield
Distinctive Contemporary Form Dwelling, Responding To Site Constraints And Historic Conservation Area
Architecture 1B developed a highly conceptual, faceted new dwelling as a key focal gateway building on the Northern Entrance into Wakefield City Centre. The site is in the St Johns Conservation area and was allocated as valuable green space within it.
The form and shape is dictated by the existing trees and adjoining properties whilst the fenestration is taken from the houses along Wentworth Terrace.
The design has been recognised with a design award form Wakefield Civic Society.
